O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider and pass order on the petitioner's representation dated 04.10.2021 with regard to appointment of the petitioner as Gr.II Police Constable on the basis of the observation made in Paragraph No.34 of the order passed in W.A.No.1084 of 2017 dated 05.03.2020 by this Court.

2. According to the petitioner, the petitioner has made a representation dated 04.10.2021 to the respondents requesting to give appointment in the post of Gr.II Police Constable on the basis of the observation made in Paragraph No.34 of the order passed in W.A.No.1084 of 2017 dated 05.03.2020 by this Court. The said representation is still pending, no order has been passed. Hence, he has filed the instant writ petition before this Court.

3. The learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the 2nd respondent, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 04.10.2021 would be considered by the concerned authority, if otherwise eligible and by taking note of his earlier criminal records.

4. In view of the above said submissions made by the parties and without expressing any opinion on merits, this Court is inclined to direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.10.2021 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, as early as possible, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
