Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider the representation dated 30.06.2016 submitted by the petitioner herein in order to pass appropriate order by transferring the name of the patta bearing No.233 under re-survey No.11/4 from the name of the previous owner to an in the name of the petitioner based on the valid Sale Deed duly executed and registered vide Sale Document No.4826/2001 under Volume No.3463/2001 dated 25.07.2001 before the Sub Registrar, Sembium, submitted by the petitioner.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

The petitioner claims to have purchased a property through a registered Sale Deed bearing Document No.4826/2001 dated 25.07.2001, registered on the file of the Sub Registrar, Sembium and is in possession and enjoyment of the said property, situate in Survey No.119/4, TSS.No.166, Block No.41, Plot No.10,

admeasuring to an extent of 1200 sq.ft. The petitioner praying for transfer of patta in her name, sent a representation dated 07.04.2011 followed by very many reminders, last of which is dated 30.06.2016 and since no response is forthcoming, the petitioner came forward to file the present writ petition. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 07.04.2011 and the reminder dated 30.06.2016, on merits and in accordance with law, after putting on notice, the person/s concerned and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as to the person/s concerned.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
