O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by M.JAICHANDREN,J) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed, by the mother of the detenue, praying that this Court may be pleased to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to direct the respondents to produce her minor daughter, namely, K.Kanagapriya, aged about 17 years, before this Court, and set her at liberty.

2. The petitioner has stated that her daughter, namely, K.Kanagapriya, was studying in XIIth standard, in the Girls Higher Secondary School, at Mannargudi. Whileso, she had gone missing, since, 29.08.2015. Therefore, the petitioner had lodged a complaint before the 2nd respondent police, on 30.08.2015. The said complaint had been registered as F.I.R.No.176 of 2015. As, no effective steps have been taken by the 2nd respondent police, to trace the detenue, the present Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the petitioner, before this Court.

3. At this stage of the hearing of the Habeas Corpus Petition, the 2nd respondent police had produced the detenue, before this Court. On enquiry, the detenue, namely, K.Kanagapriya, had admitted that she was a minor. She had also stated that, she had gone away with the 3rd respondent, who is a neighbour. She had further stated that, she would like to go along with her mother, who is also present before this Court.

4. In such circumstances, we find it appropriate to close the Habeas Corpus Petition, as no further orders are necessary in the present Habeas Corpus Petition. The detenue, namely, K.Kanagapriya, is permitted to go along with her mother, as per her wish.
