O R D E R

The Petitioner has come up with the present Writ Petition seeking to quash the proceedings of 1st Respondent vide D.Dis.RA 5(1)/66955/2003 - A.A.No.131/2003, dated 29.03.2004 and that of the 2nd Respondent vide Na.Ka.No.14650/2002/ES, dated 05.09.2003 and for a consequential direction to the Respondents to reconsider the entire matter.

The Petitioner has approached this Court for renewal of Gun Licence, after three decades and the same has been rightly rejected by the 2nd Respondent on 05.09.2003. Now, 15 years have gone by from the date of rejection. The request of the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Petitioner at this distant point of time, cannot be granted, more particularly, as there is a delay in seeking renewal of Gun Licence. Hence, the impugned proceedings cannot be said to be in violation of the provisions of the Act. However, this order will not preclude the Petitioner from applying Gun Licence afresh, and if any application is made, it is for the authorities to consider the same in accordance with law. The Writ Petition is dismissed with the above observation. No costs.
