Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the order of the respondent made in C.No. L1/2897/2021, dated 17.08.2021 issued to the petitioner (Enrolment no.0512120) and quash the same and further directing the respondent to consider the claim of the petitioner for appointment for the post of Sub-Inspector of Police 2019. ORDER
Challenging the impugned order passed by the respondent in C.No. L1/2897/2021, dated 17.08.2021 and seeking direction for directing the respondent to consider the claim of the petitioner for appointment for the post of Sub-Inspector of Police, the instant writ petition is filed.
2. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner has applied to the post of Sub Inspector of Police in the recruitment held in the year 2019 and appeared for the written examination and secured 42.5 marks. The petitioner
belongs to the MBC community The cut-off marks for the petitioner's community is 38 for Open (General) category and 37.6 for open (Men) category. The petitioner was directed to appear for certificate verification on or before 21.02.2020. The petitioner made request to the respondent to grant time to submit required certificates, since the said request was not considered by the respondents, the petitioner has filed a writ petition in W.P.No. 16184 of 2021 seeking directions. This Court by its order dated 04.08.2021 directed the respondent to consider the request made by the petitioner and passed orders. The respondent by letter dated 17.08.2021 rejected the request made by the petitioner by stating that the petitioner has not submitted the required documents within a stipulated time. It is also stated that the entire recruitment process is completed.

On the other hand, the leaned Additional Advocate General submitted that the petitioner had uploaded Form 2 sports certificate issued by Tamilnadu Rural Games Association for the event of Judo to claim sports quota. The said Tamilnadu Rural Games Association is not approved association by Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu or Tamil Nadu Olympic Association or Indian Olympic Association. The petitioner was not satisfied with the conditions stipulated in para 6 of the notification. Therefore, the petitioner has rightly rejected the selection of the petitioner and passed the impugned order.

The learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondent has relied upon the order of this Court made in W.P.Nos.26456 of 2021 & 2 others dated 13.12.2021 wherein this Court by common order dated has considered the relevant provisions of the said notification and held that the Tamilnadu Rural Games Association is an unrecognised association and the certificates issued by the said association cannot be considered for selection of posts under sports quota as per the notification issued by the respondent-board.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the fact that the respondent-Board had completed the entire recruitment process by publishing final provisional selection list in the year 2021 and appointment orders have also been issued to the selected candidates, this Court finds no merits in the writ petition seeking direction to consider for appointment of the petitioner and the same is liable to be rejected.
6. Accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed as devoid of merits. No costs.
