ORDER
This Criminal Revision Petition has been filed seeking to call for the records and to set aside the order dated 07.07.2021 passed in Crl.M.P.No.653 of 2021 on the file of the learned District Munsif-cum-Judicial Magistrate, Gummidipoondi.
2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that a show cause notice has been issued and the confiscation proceedings has also been initiated by the Superintendent of Police, Thiruvallur on 05.08.2021 and the petitioner has also replied to the show cause notice. Further, he would submit that, if the vehicle is released at this juncture, it would be difficult to get along with the process of confiscation for them.
3. In view of the submission made by the learned Counsel for the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to allow this https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Revision Petition and the same is liable to be dismissed. However, direction is issued to the Confiscation Authority viz., the Superintendent of Police, Thiruvallur to complete the confiscation process as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. Accordingly, the Criminal Revision Case is dismissed with the abovesaid direction.
