Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus to call for the records in connection with the order of detention passed by the 2nd respondent dated 16.03.2016 in BCDFGISSSV No.307/2016 against the son of the petitioner, detenu Murugan M/A, 23, S/o.Arasu, who is confined at Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai and to set aside the same and consequently direct the respondents to produce the detenu before this Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by S.Nagamuthu, J.] Challenge is made to the order of detention passed by the second respondent vide Proceedings in No.307/BCDFGISSSV/2016 dated 16.03.2016 whereby the detenu, namely Mr.Murugan, S/o.Arasu, aged about 23 years, was ordered to be detained under https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the provisions of Section 3(1) of the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Cyber Law Offenders, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Sexual Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Pirates Act, 1982 (Tamil Nadu Act 14/1982) as a "GOONDA". 2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the second respondent as against the son of the petitioner dated 16.03.2016 has been revoked by the Government in G.O.Rt.No.2241, dated 18.05.2016 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.
