Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus calling for the records relating to the detenue's detention order passed by the 2nd respondent in his order No.308/2016, dated 16.03.2016 approved by the 1st respondent and set aside the same and produce the detenue Rajesh Kumar, aged 22 years s/o Venugopal, now detained in Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai before this Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.) The petitioner is the mother of the detenu. The detenu has been branded as a "Goonda" under the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 and detained under the order of the 2nd respondent passed in Memo No.308/BCDFGISSSV/2016 dated 16.03.2016.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the 2nd respondent as against the son of the petitioner dated 16.03.2016 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.2242, Home, Prohibition & Excise [XIII] Department dated 18.05.2016 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.

3. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this petition is closed as the same has become infructuous.
