Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus call for the entire records leading to the detention of the petitioner's husband Vinothkumar @ Vinoth @ Quick vinoth, son of Pownraj, Male, aged about 30 years, the detenu herein presently lodged in the Central Prison, Puzhal at Chennai, who has been detained under Act 14/82 as a "Goonda" vide detention order dated 29.09.2021 made in CPT No.52/2021 by the 2nd respondent and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents herein to produce the body and person of the said detenu before this Court and

thereafter set him at liberty from the Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai.

ORDER

[Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in Memo CPT No.52/2021 dated 29.09.2021 detaining her husband as "Goonda", as contemplated under Section 2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.5781, Home, Prohibition and Excise (IX) Department, dated 26.11.2021 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
