Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus calling for the records in connection with the order of detention passed by the second respondent dated 23.03.2016 in BCDFGISSSV No.338/2016 against the son of the petitioner, detenu Praba @ Prabakaran M/A 25, s/o Kesavan, who is confined at Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai and to set aside the same and consequently, direct the respondents to produce the detenu before this Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.) The petitioner is the mother of the detenu. The detenu has been branded as a "Goonda" under the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 and detained under the order of

S.NAGAMUTHU, J., AND V.BHARATHIDASAN, J., kua the 2nd respondent passed in Memo No.338/BCDFGISSSV/2016 dated 23.03.2016. 2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the 2nd respondent as against the son of the petitioner dated 23.03.2016 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.2248, Home, Prohibition & Excise [XIII] Department dated 18.05.2016 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.
