The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 28.07.2022 for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(i), 4(1)(aaa) read with 4(1-A) of TNP Act in Crime No.478 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent submitted that there is a Goondas proposal pending as against the petitioner. He would further submit that there are 31 previous cases pending as against the petitioner.

3. Considering the above submission, this court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
