This petition is filed by the petitioners / appellants / claimants seeking to condone the delay of 1036 days in filing the above Appeal.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners / appellants. Despite serving notice on the R-2/insurance company and their name printed in the cause-list, there is no representation on behalf of them.
3. Therefore, having regard to the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit filed in support of this petition and being satisfied with the same, the delay of 1036 days in filing the above Appeal is condoned subject to the following conditions:- (i) The petitioners / appellants shall pay a sum of Rs.1000/- as cost to the "Tamil Nadu Legal Services Authority, Chennai" on or before 04.10.2019; and (ii) The petitioners / appellants are not entitled to any interest for the default period, in the event of succeeding in the Appeal, in respect of the enhanced compensation amount.
4. This petition is ordered accordingly.
