ORDER
(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Ms.M.Malar, learned counsel for the petitioners in both writ petitions, Mr.C.Kathiravan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 5 in both writ petitions and Mr.A.Ramalingam, learned counsel for respondents 6 to 10 and 12 to 18 in W.P.No.27424 of 2021.
2. Learned Special Government Pleader submits that the District Collector has cancelled the order converting the land into Grama Natham from Grove (Thoppu) and it is observed that the journalists do not fall under the category as specified under 15(3)(ii) of the Revenue Standing Orders.
3. In view of the above, the purpose of the writ petitions stands served. The writ petitions are disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. (S.V.G., CJ.) (J.S.N.P., J.) 04.04.2024 Index : Yes/No : Yes/No kst
