O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition is filed to transfer the investigation in Cr.No.20 of 2024 registered on 03.02.2024 by the second respondent police to third respondent for effective investigation.

2. Theft and house broke open reported to the second respondent police by this petitioner on 03.02.2024 and the same was registered in Cr.No.20 of 2024 for offence under Sections 457 and 380 of IPC. Inspite of lapse of several months, there is no progress in the investigation, Hence the present petition filed sought for transfer of investigation.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submits that on the complaint, CC.Tv footage were collected and now one Vairamuthu who is having 35 previous cases of similar nature is now been suspected and police in search of such suspect. He further states that it is incorrect to allege the police is not taking any steps to identify the theft.

4. Taking note of the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) the progress in the investigation, this 2/4

Court is of the view that change of investigation at this stage is not required. However, direction to the second respondent to expedite the investigation and secured the suspected criminal is suffice. Accordingly, this court directs the second respondent shall form a team and secure the absconding accused Vairamuthu and proceed with the investigation in accordance with law.

5. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
