Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the affidavit filed therewith the High Court will be pleased to extend the time granted in CBCID , Nagapattinam Cr.No.4 of 2021 U/s.406,409,420 IPC and also to comply the direction of this Honourable Court passed in Crl.O.P.No.627 of 2021 dated 24/03/2021 and thus render justice.

Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and upon hearing the arguments of MR.L.A.J.SELVAM , Govt. Advocate ( Crl. Side) Advocate for the petitioner and of MR.M.PALANIVEL Advocate on behalf of the Respondent the court made the following order:- This petition has been filed by the Investigation Officer, seeking for extension of time to complete the investigation and to file a Final Report.

2.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submitted that till now statements have been recorded from 18 witnesses and 16 documents have been collected in the course of investigation. The learned counsel further submitted that the signature of A-1 has to be sent for expert opinion. Therefore, extension of time is sought for to complete the investigation and to file a Final Report. 3.Taking into consideration the averments made in the affidavit filed in support of the petition and the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), this Court is inclined to extend the time for the completion of the investigation and for filing of the Final Report for a period of three months from today. The Investigation Officer shall ensure that the investigation shall be completed within the time fixed by this Court and the Final Report shall be filed before the jurisdictional Court. 4.This petition is disposed of accordingly.
