Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus calling for the records of the detention made in Memo No.210/BCDFGISSSV/2016 dated 27.02.2016 passed by the Commissioner of Police, Greater Chennai Police, Vepery, Chennai7, the second respondent herein and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenue before this Court and set the detenue Thiru. Faru @ Faruk, son of Ghouse Basha, aged 24 years now confined in Central Prison, Puzhal II, Chennai at liberty.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.) The petitioner is the brother of the detenu viz., Thiru. Faru @ Faruk, son of Ghouse Basha, aged 24 years. The detenu has been branded as a "Goonda" under the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 and detained under the order of the 2nd respondent passed in Memo No.210/BCDFGISSSV/2016 dated 27.02.2016. 2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
the order of detention passed by the 2nd respondent as against the brother of the petitioner dated 27.02.2016 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.2223, Home, Prohibition & Excise [XIII] Department dated 18.05.2016 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.
3. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this petition is closed as the same has become infructuous.
