Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus, calling for the records on the file of the 2nd respondent in Detention Order No.309/BCDFGISSSV/2016, dated 16.03.2016 and direct the respondents to produce the detenu, namely, Sabari Rajan, aged about 35 years, son of Dharmalingam, now kept in Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai, before this Court and qush the same and set him at liberty.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.) The petitioner, who is the wife of the detenu Sabari Rajan, son of Dharmalingam, aged about 35 years, has come forward with this petition, challenging the detention order passed by the second respondent dated 16.03.2016 against her husband branding him as a "Goonda" as contemplated under Section 3(1) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that the order of detention passed by the second respondent as against the husband of the petitioner dated 16.03.2016 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.2243, Home, Prohibition & Excise (XIII) Department, dated 18.05.2016 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.

3. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this petition is closed as the same has become infructuous.
