O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by M.JAICHANDREN,J) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed, by the father of the detenue, praying that this Court may be pleased to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to direct the 1st respondent police to produce the petitioner's daughter, namely, Ramya @ Revathi, D/o.Sennivasan, aged about 21 years, before this Court and to set her at liberty.

2. The petitioner has stated that, his daughter, namely, Ramya @ Revathi, had gone missing, from 03.04.2016. Therefore, the petitioner had lodged a complaint before the 1st respondent police, on 04.04.2016, and the said complaint had been https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

registered, in Crime No.150 of 2016, as ''Girl Missing'' case. Since, no steps had been taken by the 1st respondent police to secure the detenue, the petitioner has preferred this Habeas Corpus Petition, before this Court.

3. Today, when the matter had been listed for hearing, the detenue, namely, Ramya @ Revathi, had been produced by the 2nd respondent, namely, Manjunathan, before this Court. On enquiry, the detenue had stated that she had married the 2nd respondent, on 04.04.2016, at Sri Sowmeshwarar Temple, Ram Nagar, Hosur Town & Taluk, Krishnagiri District. She had also produced the original Certificate of Registration of Marriage, dated 05.04.2016, issued by the Marriage Registrar, Hosur. She had further stated that the 2nd respondent is a Financier and Sales Representative, residing at Kamalapuram Village, Parnapet, Vellore District. She had further stated that she would like to go along with her husband, viz., S.Manjunathan, the 2nd respondent herein.

In view of the above submissions made by the detenue, namely, Ramya @ Revathi, who is aged 21 years of age, she is permitted to go along with the 2nd respondent, namely, Manjunathan, as per her wish. As the detenue, as well as the 2nd respondent, who is also present before this Court, had expressed certain apprehensions about their safety, the 1st respondent police is directed to provide necessary protection to the detenue, as well as the 2nd respondent, on a request being made by them, to the 1st respondent police. This Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed, with the above direction.
