These civil miscellaneous petitions have been filed by the petitioners seeking to condone the delay of 2223 days in filing the above appeals. 2.

Heard Mr.M.Ganesh, learned counsel for the petitioners, who submitted that the writ petitions were taken up for hearing and disposed of on 29.06.2017 based on the counter affidavit filed by the first respondent and the same was known to the petitioners only in June 2023, when they tried to know about the status of the writ petitions. He further submitted that since the petitioners were unable to get back the case bundle from their earlier counsel, it took a long time for them to collect and consolidate the papers and therefore, the delay has occasioned, which is neither wilful nor wanton, but, only due to the reasons stated above. Therefore, the learned counsel sought to condone the delay in filing the appeals.

nsd the above appeals, delay is condoned on condition that the petitioners shall pay a sum of Rs.5,000/- each, towards costs to the Tamil Nadu Mediation and Conciliation Centre, Madras High Court, Chennai, within two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

Mr.Stalin Abimanyu, learned Additional Government Pleader who takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2, submitted that he has no objection in condoning the delay.

Upon production of receipt for payment of costs, these civil miscellaneous petitions stand ordered.
