O R D E R
This petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondent to give the permission and police protection to celebrate Aadi festival at Sri Mankaliamman Koil, Parankimalai, Chennai to be held on 11.08.2019 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 01.08.2019.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the Aadi Festival is being conducted on 11.08.2019, at Sri Mankaliamman Koil, Parankimalai, Chennai. The petitioner had given a representation dated 01.08.2019 to the respondent seeking for permission and the same has not been considered till date. Therefore, the present petition has been filed.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner will have to abide by the conditions that are imposed by the respondent police, while conducting the procession.
4. Taking into consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to direct the respondent to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
grant permission and adequate police protection to celebrate the Aadi Festival at at Sri Mankaliamman Koil, Parankimalai, Chennai , on 11.08.2019, between 09.00 a.m., to 05.00 p.m.
5. It is made clear that the respondent police is at liberty to impose any conditions to ensure the peaceful conduct of the Temple festival and the petitioner is bound to comply with the same. The petitioner is also directed to pay necessary charges to the police for providing police protection.
6. Accordingly, the Criminal Original petition is disposed of with the above direction.
