Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to call for the records in Memo No.1247/BCDFGISSSV/2015 dated 15.12.2015 on the file of the first respondent herein and quash the same and direct the respondents herein to produce the body of the detenu namely Vetrivel @ Velu aged about 28 years, who is now confined in the Central Prizon, Puzhal, Chennai-66, before this Court and set him at liberty.

[Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.] The petitioner, who is the mother of the detenu, Vetrivel @ Velu, Son of Devendran, aged about 28 years, has come forward with this petition challenging the detention order passed by the 1st respondent dated 15.12.2015 against her son branding him as a "Goonda" under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Pirates Act, 1982 [Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982]. 2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the 1st respondent as against the son of the petitioner dated 15.12.2015 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.574, dated 12.02.2016 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.
