Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus calling for the records and quash the same leading to the detention of the husband of the petitioner namely Chandru son of Sammandham, aged 38 years, detained under Act 14/82 vide detention order dated 23.03.2016 on the file of the 2nd respondent herein made in Memo No.337/BCDFGISSSV/2016, the same and consequently, direct the respondent herein to produce the body and person of the said detenu before this Court and thereafter set him liberty from Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.) The petitioner is the wife of the detenu, namely, Chandru son of Sammandham. The detenu has been branded as a "Goonda" under the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 and detained under the order of the 2nd respondent passed in BCDFGISSSV No.337/2016

S.NAGAMUTHU, J., AND V.BHARATHIDASAN, J., kua dated 23.03.2016.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the 2nd respondent as against the husband of the petitioner dated 23.03.2016 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.2247, Home, Prohibition & Excise [XIII] Department dated 18.05.2016 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.
