ORDER

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner challenging the order passed by the first respondent in Na.Ka.No.1281/A1/2006 dated 26.03.2007 and seeking a direction to respondents 1 to 3 to select and appoint her as Anganvadi Worker of Andi Kurumbalur Panchayat, Perambalur District. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2.The case of the petitioner is that she is an unemployed graduate. However, the District Collector, Perambalur, the first respondent herein called for applications for the posts of Noon Meal Organiser, Cook, Anganvadi Worker at various centres in Perambalur District. She applied for the post of Anganvadi worker and thereafter she was asked to appear for interview. As per the instructions of the first respondent, the posts are to be filled up only from the local residents. In this regard, the grievance of the petitioner is that though she is a resident of Andi Kurambalur Panchayat, she was not selected, whereas the fourth respondent has been selected, who is a resident of Chinna Paravai. Challenging the same, she is before this Court seeking the above said prayer.

3.This Court, while entertaining the writ petition, did not grant any interim order. If it is presumed that the fourth respondent has been continuing her service in the said post, it is not possible to disturb her employment, after a lapse of twelve years.

4.Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. Liberty is granted to the petitioner to make a representation for the post of Anganvadi worker, if any future vacancy arises. No costs. Sd/- Deputy Registrar //True Copy// Sub Assistant Registrar vga To 1.District Collector, Perambalur.
