(R3 to R5 impleaded vide order dated 24.03.2023 in Crl.M.P.No.4289 of 2023 in Crl.OP.21135/2019 by SMJ) Prayer:- Criminal Orignal Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., calling for the records of the impugned proceedings in C.C.No.34 of 2018 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate Court, Omalur and to quash the same as against the petitioner.

O R D E R

The petition is filed to quash the final report filed for the offence under Section 498-A of IPC and Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Woman Act, 1998.

2.It is reported that the parties are arrived at a compromise and the defacto complainant has agreed not to pursue the impugned proceedings. The parties are present before this Court along with their counsel and had filed a joint memo of compromise signed by them. The said memo of compromise is taken on reocrd.

3.Since the impugned proceedings arise out of a matrimonial dispute, this Court is inclined to quash the proceedings. In view of the compromise arrived by the parties. The proceedings in C.C.No.34 of 2018 is quashed against all the accused.

4.This Criminal Original Petition is allowed with the above observations. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
