The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 17.04.2025 for the offence punishable under Sections 103(1) of BNS in Crime No.198 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police seeks bail. 1/4
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was arrested by the respondent police on 17.04.2025 and the petitioner is the husband of the deceased and since the petitioner had questioned the victim's activities, there was a matrimonial discord and they were living separately for two years and due to the sudden death of the deceased, a false case has been projected against the petitioner as if he had murdered the deceased. Hence, he prayed for bail.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) strongly opposed for grant of bail to the petitioner stating that the deceased is the husband of the petitioner and they were living separately and on the date of occurrence, petitioner had entered into the house of the deceased to meet his son and at that time, the deceased locked his son in the room, aggrieved over the same, petitioner murdered his son. Hence, he opposed for grant of bail to the petitioner.
4. Considering the gravity of the offence committed by the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. The trial Court 2/4
is directed to complete the trial within a period of six months from the date of receipt of copy of the order.
