Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to disburse the petitioner's contribution in the Gratuity and Provident Fund together with interest to the petitioner.

The prayer sought for in this Writ Petition is to direct the respondents to disburse the petitioner's contribution in the Gratuity and Provident Fund together with interest to the petitioner.
2. The case of the petitioner is that he was working in the Co-operative Department as Secretary and he was terminated from service in the year 2008. As against the termination the petitioner preferred revision before the Additional Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Kilpauk and the same was rejected. In the year 2009, the petitioner was appointed as VAO in the Revenue Department through TNPSC. On 30.06.2014, the Revenue Department passed orders allowing the petitioner to retire from service in the post of VAO. Thereafter, the petitioner made a representation to the respondents requesting to disburse the Gratuity and Provident Fund to him. However, till date the said representation was not considered by the respondents. Therefore, the Writ Petition has been filed.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would be suffice to issue direction to the respondents to consider and dispose of the representation dated 01.06.2017 in accordance with law.
4. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court hereby directs the respondents to consider and dispose of the representation dated 01.06.2017, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
