O R D E R
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the complaint in C.C.No.1163 of 2012 on the file of the XVIII Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Saidapet, Chennai.
2. The case relates to issues arising out of employment of the respondent with the first petitioner/Bank. On 21.09.2017 counsel on either side have made endorsements to the following effect:- "Counsel for Respondent:- Agreeable to a settlement of Rs.23,00,000/- as against all the claims against the Bank and its Officers in the complaint and orders may be accordingly passed.
"Counsel for Petitioner:- The bank has agreed to pay a sum of Rs.23,00,00/- (Rupees Twenty Three Lakhs) towards full and final settlement of all disputes between the parties as agreed before this Hon'ble Court. In view of the above endorsement made by the respondent and his counsel, the above quash petition may be allowed. The Respondent shall have no further claims whatsoever against the Bank and its officials."
3. Today, learned counsel for respondent has made an endorsement stating that he has received Cheque No.023507 dated 21.09.2017.
4. In the light of the above endorsements, this Court quashes the proceedings in C.C.No.1163 of 2012 on the file of the XVIII Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Saidapet, Chennai recording the position that there are absolutely no pending issues between the parties and in relation to the employment of the respondent with the first petitioner Bank and also the other petitioners.
