The petitioner herein apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 5, 7(1) of Lotteries Regulation Act, 1998 and Sections 318(4) of BNS [Section 420 of IPC] in Crime No.09 of 2025, on the file of the respondent Police, seek anticipatory bail.

2. The allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner was involved in illegal selling of kerala lottery tickets and the defacto complainant who had won the lottery and to be paid Rs.35,000/- had been refused by this petitioner. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that, petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case.. Hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that, apart from this case, petitioner has 12 previous cases. Hence, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the bad antecedents of the petitioner having 12 previous cases, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
