This criminal original petition has been filed to direct the respondents to expeditiously complete the investigation in Crime No.1113 of 2014, pending on the file of the respondents and file the final report within a time frame.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents police submitted that investigation in Crime No.1113 of 2014 is almost completed and if four months time is granted by this Court, the investigation would be completed and final report would be filed by the 2nd respondent police before the concerned Court.

Recording the same, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the 2nd respondent police to complete the investigation within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and either file a final report or closure report, as the case may be, in accordance with law, under due intimation to the petitioner/defacto complainant.
