With consent of both sides, this Writ Petition has been taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This Writ Petition has been filed directing the first respondent to dispose of the representation dated 18.06.2024 submitted by the petitioner.

3. On a perusal of the said representation dated 18.06.2024, it reveals that the petitioner lodged a complaint under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 (hereinafter referred to as 'the Act' for short) against the third party, who is not a family member of the petitioner. That apart, the petitioner and his family members had executed a sale deed in respect of the land owned by him in favour of the third party. Therefore, the complaint lodged by the petitioner under the Act cannot be considered maintainable, as it is only maintainable against family members. Hence, this Writ Petition is devoid of merits. 2/4
