Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner representation dated 15.03.2023 and direct the second respondent to hand over the possession to the petitioner. The petitioner has made all the right representation, but only addressed it to a wrong official. The officials who are required to consider the petitioner's representation are now suo motu impleaded as third and fourth respondents. Mr.M.Babu Muthu Meeran, learned counsel takes notice for the suo motu impleaded respondents.

2. The case of the petitioner is that her father-in-law was allotted a tenement by Slum Clearance Board, and on whose demise, it was transferred to her mother-in-law, and now her mother-in-law too had passed away, and also her husband. Sometime in 2019, the tenement was demolished by TNHB as 2/5

it became uninhabitable, and in view of the same, the petitioner seeks a tenement.

3. Heard Mr.D.Veerasekaran, learned counsel for TNHB and Mr.M.Babu Muthu Meeran, learned counsel appearing for respondents 3 and 4.

4. The petitioner is now required to approach the third respondent with a fresh representation, upon receiving which, the third respondent is required to address the request made to him, as expeditiously as possible at any rate not later than four months from the date of receipt of the representation at his end.

5. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 09.08.2023 Index : Yes / No Speaking order / Non-speaking order ds 3/5
