The petitioner claims to have purchased a land admeasuring to an extent of 3520 sq.ft., situate in S.No.41/12, 13, 14, Iyyapanthangal Village, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kancheepuram District, through an unregistered Sale Deed dated 06.05.2010 and claims to be in possession and enjoyment of the same. The petitioner, in the form of representation/application dated 03.05.2016, had approached the 2nd respondent for issuance of patta and since no orders have been passed, he came forward to file the present writ petition.

Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation/application dated 03.05.2016, on merits and in accordance with law, after putting on notice, the person/s concerned and pass orders within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as to the person/s concerned.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
