The petitioner claims to have a life interest as per the Will dated 05.07.1991 in respect of the property admeasuring to an extent of 7.32 acres in S.Nos.480/2,1 ; 481/4< ; 483/35 and had approached the 2nd respondent for inclusion of his name and consequent change of name in patta and since no orders have been passed, she had approached the District Revenue Officer, Coimbatore, who in turn, vide communication dated 27.02.2012 in O.Mu.No.4415/2012 ,1, has directed the 1st respondent herein to act on the petitioner's application dated 10.02.2012 and despite that, no response is forthcoiming and hence, the petitioner came forward to file the present writ petition.

Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Navaneethan, learned Additional Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the 1st respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the 1st respondent to act on the communication of the District Revenue Officer, Coimbatore dated 27.02.2012 in O.Mu.No.4415/2012 ,1, and expedite the proceedings in Na.Ka.No.1940/2012 dated 27.02.2012, in accordance with law, after putting on notice, the 2nd respondent herein and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as to the 2nd respondent herein.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
