Mr.K.Rajkumar, learned Standing Counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2.The writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records relating to Memo No.17029/A5/A5/2020-4 dated 07.11.2020 of the first respondent, Enquiry Report dated 03.04.2023 of the fifth respondent, Memo No.17029/A5/A51/2020-30 dated 01.10.2024 of the first respondent, quash the same.
3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit 2/4
that the respondent has initiated disciplinary proceedings based upon the charge memorandum dated 07.11.2020 and that after concluding enquiry on the charge memorandum, petitioner was also served with enquiry report dated 03.04.2023 for which, the petitioner has submitted his further representation on 09.02.2024. Though the disciplinary authority received the further representation in the year 2024, so far they have not passed any final order. 4.At this juncture, the learned Standing Counsel would submit that the Secretary, TANGEDCO, Chengalpattu District, would pass final order within a reasonable time.
5.In such view of the submissions, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, deems it appropriate to direct the Secretary, TANGEDCO, Chengalpattu District, to conclude the disciplinary proceedings and pass final orders, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, upon its own merits and in accordance with law.
