O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by M.JAICHANDREN,J) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed, by the mother of the detenue, praying that this Court may be pleased to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to direct the respondent police to produce her daughter, namely, M.Devika, aged about 30 years, before this Court, and to set her at liberty.

2. The petitioner has stated that her daughter, namely, M.Devika, was working at M/s.Aphro Party, Periyar Nagar, Kolathur, Chennai. She had gone missing, from 13.04.2016. Therefore, the petitioner had lodged a complaint before the respondent police, on 14.04.2016. Since, no effective steps have been taken by the respondent police, to trace the detenue, the petitioner has preferred the present Habeas Corpus Petition, before this Court.

Mr.M.Maharaja, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondent, had submitted, on instructions, that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner before the respondent police, a case, in Crime No.332 of 2016, for ''Woman Missing'', has been registered by the respondent police. He had further submitted that all necessary steps would be taken to trace the detenue, namely, M.Devika, based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, on 14.04.2016, and to follow up the matter, in accordance with law.

4. In view of the said submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondent, we are of the view that no further orders are necessary in the present Habeas Corpus Petition.
