O R D E R
(The case has been heard through video conference) Earlier, this Court by an order dated 21.12.2018 in W.P.No.2079 of 2018 directed the District Collector, Greater Chennai to conduct a detailed enquiry in respect of disbursement of compensation amount to the fourth respondent therein and in the enquiry, if the District Collector finds that the concerned Land Acquisition Officer acted in collusion with the fourth respondent, he shall take suitable action including filing of criminal complaint against the erring officer / officers concerned and any other person involved in it. Since the order was not complied with, the present Contempt Petitions have been filed.
2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.D.Raja, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that, as per the order passed by this Court, investigation has been completed and a final report has also been filed before the Judicial Magistrate, Alandur. Hence, these Contempt petitions may be closed.
3. Recording the above submissions, the order passed by this Court is duly complied with, and no further adjudication is required. Accordingly, these Contempt Petitions stand closed.
