ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the respondent police not to harass the petitioner.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had lodged a complaint against one Bharathkumar before the Superintendent of Police and based on his complaint, the respondent police had summoned the petitioner directing him to appear before them on 01.04.2025. The petitioner also appeared before the respondent police on 01.04.2025. However, till now the respondent police have not passed any final order and that the petitioner has been forced by the respondent police to appear before them every week and harassing him to withdraw his complaint. Though the petitioner had given his statement, the respondent police are not accepting the statement and keeping the case pending.

3. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

4. It is seen that the petitioner has been summoned by the respondent 2/5

police for his appearance on 01.04.2025. Though the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police admits that the petitioner appeared before the respondent police and also gave his statement, till date no action has been taken. Therefore, the apprehension of the petitioner is genuine and reasonable.

5. Therefore, the respondent police is directed not to harass the petitioner. Further, the respondent police is directed to proceed with the complaint in accordance with law and after conclusion of enquiry, pass suitable orders.

6. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
