ORDER

By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus, to direct the respondents to forthwith implement the final order passed by this Court in W.P.No.11144 of 2017 dated 28.04.2017 and consequently direct the respondents to issue computerized pattas for the ancestral lands of the petitioner's family situated in Village No.177, Mambakkam, Sriperumbudur Taluk, corresponding to Old Survey Nos.108, 109, 110, 112, 139, 261, 306, 307 and 308 and update all digital land records and revenue registers accordingly.

3. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner 2/6

submitted letters dated 10.06.2025 to the 1st respondent, 3rd respondent and to the Head of Registration, Chennai for issuance of computerized pattas over the ancestral lands comprised in Old Survey Nos.108, 109, 110, 112, 139, 261, 306, 307 and 308, admeasuring to an extent of 1275 Acres, situated in Village No.177, Mambakkam, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kancheepuram District. It is further submitted that despite the letters dated 10.06.2025, no steps have been taken by the respondents so far. Hence, this writ petition.

At the outset, it is submitted by Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents that, if the petitioner submits an online application, the same would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

In view of the limited relief that is prayed, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition and accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with following directions:- i) The petitioner shall file an online application before the respondents. The respondents shall consider the online application if any filed by the petitioner, in 3/6

accordance with law, after issuing notice to the petitioner and all other interested parties including rival claimants, if any.

ii) Though facts have been set out extensively in the affidavit, this Court does not propose to deal with it while leaving it open to the respondents to call for any document/conduct enquiry to satisfy itself of the petitioner's entitlement for issuance of computerized patta to the petitioner's ancestral lands. iii) The entire process shall be completed within a period of 8 weeks from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for receipt of certified copy. iv) It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the matter and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law.
