O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to permit the petitioner to undergo Ph.D. Course in the faculty of Civil Engineering as per the provisional Registration-Intimation Call Letter dated 'NIL' of the Anna University of Technology, Coimbatore, now the respondents University. 2.The case of the petitioner is that he obtained Degree in B.E.(Civil Engineering) from Bharathiar University and M.Tech Degree (Civil) from Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University and the petitioner also successfully qualified in the AICTE/UGC Special Theory and Practical Examination during 10.06.2018 to 12.06.2018 for validation of his Degree M.Tech (Civil Engineering) and AICTE/UGC has awarded a certificate dated 04.06.2018 holding that the petitioner has successfully qualified in the examination and his P.G.Degree stands validated.

3.The further case of the petitioner is that the petitioner inorder to study Ph.D. Course submitted application to Anna University, Coimbatore during May, 2010 and also paid the fees, however, thereafter the University orally informed the petitioner that the Degree 2/5

awarded by JRN Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University is not valid and therefore his admission cannot be proceeded with. Hence, the petitioner filed W.P.No.32818 of 2012 before this Court seeking direction to the respondents therein to approve his admission for Ph.D.Course and the said writ petition was dismissed as infructuous on 14.02.2018 on the ground that the issue involved in the writ petition had already been clarified by the Hon'ble Apex Court. Thereafter, the petitioner made several representations to the respondents and since there was no action, the petitioner has filed this writ petition. 4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that without going into the merits of the case, it would suffice if this Court permits the petitioner to make a fresh representation to the respondents and issues direction to the respondents to consider the same and to pass appropriate orders, within the reasonable time fixed by this Court.

5.The learned counsel appearing for the respondents agrees to the request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and would submit that if any representation is filed by the petitioner, the same would be considered by the respondents and appropriate 3/5

orders will be passed by the respondents, in accordance with law, within a reasonable time as fixed by this Court. 6.In view of the above, this Court permits the petitioner to make a fresh representation to the respondents, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and if any such representation is made, the respondents shall consider the same on merits and in accordance with law and shall pass appropriate orders, within a period of twelve weeks thereafter.
