Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to issue patta in respect of land measuring to an extent of Hector Ares 0.89.50 acre 2.21 cent comprised in Sarkkar Punjai Survey Nos.281B/1 siutated at Ramalai Village and Post, Gudiyatham Taluk, Vellore District, in view of the settlement deed dated 14.02.2022 vide Document No.1290 of 2022 on the file of the second respondent herein within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court. 1/5

O R D E R
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to issue patta in his name in respect of land measuring to an extent of Hector Ares 0.89.50 acre 2.21 cent and hector 0.10.00 acres 0.25 cent total measuring to an extent of acres 2.46 cent comprised in Survey Nos.281B/1 and 523/1 situated at Ramalai Village and Post, Gudiaytham Taluk, Vellore District.
2. According to the petitioner, he acquired right over the said property under a registered settlement deed dated 14.02.2022 executed by his son.
3. It is the case of the petitioner that he issued a lawyer's notice to the first respondent seeking transfer of patta based on the settlement deed executed by son and in spite of the same, the respondent has not taken any steps for transfer of patta. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court. 2/5
4. Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 & 2 would submit that if the petitioner makes proper application seeking transfer of patta, the same will be considered in accordance with law, within a time fixed by this Court.
5. In view of the same, the petitioner is directed to submit his application before the first respondent seeking transfer of patta based on his title document within a period of two weeks. If any such application is made by the petitioner, the same shall be considered by the first respondent within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
