This Criminal Original Petition is filed to call for the records and quash the final report (charge Sheet) filed under section 173(2) Cr.P.C., in PRC.No.242 of 2019 before the learned X Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai, which is filed by the Inspector of Police, P-1, Pulianthope Police Station, Pulianthope, Chennai District, in connection with Crime No.2002 of 2016.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Govt. Advocate (clr.side) appearing for the 1st respondent submitted that in this Criminal Original Petition, the petitioner is challenging final report filed in PRC.No.242 of 2019 before the learned X Metropolitan Magistrate Court,

Egmore in Cr.No.2002 of 2016. After committal, the case has been taken on file as S.C.No.102 of 2022 by the learned XXI Additional Sessions Judge, XXI Additional City Civil Court, Allikulam, Chennai. After trial, the case ended in acquittal on 21.06.2023.
