Respondent Prayer: Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Certiorarified mandamus calling for the records on the file of the respondent in connection with the order passed by him in his proceedings Na.A8/10490/06-1 dated 09.04.2007 and quash the same and direct the respondent to review the order of suspension issued in R.c.A8/10490/2006 dated 12.08.2006 in accordance with law and revoke the same in exercise of the powers conferred under Rule 17(e)(6) of Tamil Nadu Civil Service (Discipline and Appeal) Rules.

ORDER
This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner challenging the order passed by the respondent in proceedings Na.Ka.A8/10490/06-1 dated 09.04.2007 and seeking a direction to the respondent to review the order of suspension issued in R.c.A8/10490/2006 dated 12.08.2006 in accordance with law and revoke the same in exercise of the powers conferred under Rule 17(e)(6) of Tamil Nadu Civil Service (Discipline and Appeal) Rules.

2.The case of the petitioner is that he has entered into service as Field Surveyor on consolidated pay on 08.02.1984 and at the time of filing of this petition, he was holding the post of Firka Surveyor as in charge in Kolarpatty Firka. While so, by order dated 12.08.2006 passed by the respondent, he was placed under suspension on the allegation that a communication has been received from the Inspector of Police Vigilance and Anti Corruption, Coimbatore stating that a case has been registered in Crime No.13/2006/Ac/CB under Section 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act against the petitioner on the complaint of one Thiru Nandagopalakrishnan, Seelakkampatty Pollachi Taluk for demanding a bribe of Rs.3,500/- for sending the land sub division report after making necessary changes in village records and that he has accepted a bribe of Rs.3,500/-. Challenging the same, he is before this Court seeking the above prayer.
3.This Court, while entertaining the writ petition, did not grant any interim order. Though the petitioner was placed under suspension, this Court is not inclined to entertain this writ petition in the absence of any interim order, as nothing further survives to be adjudicated after a lapse of eleven years. 4.Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
