Prayer:Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to disburse the petitioners salary for the period 02.8.2018 to 15.4.2019 and appoint the petitioner as a guest lecturer in Thiruvalluvar University college of Arts and Science at Thiruvennainallur and consider the petitioners representation dated 4.6.2021.

According to the writ petitioner, the petitioner served in the respondent University for the period from 2.8.2018 to 15.4.2019 and monthly salary was fixed for a sum of Rs.15,000/- per month. However, he did not receive any salary from the respondent University. Hence, he made representation on 4.6.2021 to the respondents for disbursement of salary to the petitioner and to appoint him as a Guest Lecturer in the said University. But no order has been passed by the respondents. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.
2.Admittedly, now the petitioner is not working in the respondent University. Representation made by the petitioner is for payment of salary by the respondent University wherein he was worked for the period from 2.8.2018 to 15.4.2019 for a sum of Rs.15,000/- per month. However, the salary was not settled by the respondent University. Even though the petitioner seeks direction to the respondent for continuity of service in the respondent University, this Court cannot pass any positive orders in sofar as the continuity of service. It is open to the respondent University to consider and take appropriate decision. 3.The main contention of the petitioner is that the petitioner was not paid salary for the service rendered by him to the respondent University during the period stated supra. This Court is inclined to direct the respondents to consider the said representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
4. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
