ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction, directing the respondents to compensate the petitioner for demolishing the cement pathway .

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner's father owned house in Old Door No.47A, 47B, New Door No.169/47A, East Muniyappan Koil Street, Tiruchengode Municipality, Namakkal District. The said house was also assessed to be property tax and the petitioner is paying the property tax. Subsequently, the door number of his house has been changed into 169/47A. Accordingly, the petitioner had paid house tax for his house. While being so, on 10.03.2024, the employees of the respondent came to the house of the petitioner and removed the pathway connecting the road which was made by the petitioner in cement. Now, the petitioner sought for compensation for removal of pathway. The petitioner did not even produce any documents to show that the pathway was situated in his patta land. Except the house of the petitioner's father assessed to property tax, no other documents to prove his ownership of the land.

4. In view of the above, this Court finds no merits in this writ petition and is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
