A.No.4337 of 2022 SENTHILKUMAR RAMAMOORTHY, J This application is presented by the claimant in the arbitral proceedings seeking an extension of the mandate of the arbitral tribunal.

2. In the affidavit in support of the application, the applicant has adverted to the lock down imposed in the wake of the COVID 19 pandemic as one of the reasons for non-conclusion of the proceedings. The applicant states that the proceedings are at the stage of final arguments.

3. Learned counsel for the respondent is present and has no objection to this application being allowed.

4. By taking into account the stage of arbitral proceedings, the time for conclusion of such proceedings by pronouncement of an award in respect thereof is extended by a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
