The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 376, 312, 506(ii) of IPC r/w Section 34 of IPC, 1860 in Crime No.88 of 2022, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution, as per the defacto complainant, is that the petitioner and the defacto complainant had love affair for the past 10 years. The petitioner is alleged to have had physical relationship with the defacto complainant under the pretext of marriage and she has become pregnant. It is further alleged that the petitioner has aborted the foetus in the womb. Hence the complaint is registered against the petitioner.

3. On perusal of records it is seen that on 22..09.2022 as per the request of the petitioner and the intervenor the matter was referred to mediation and the parties are directed to appear before the Mediation Centre T.V.THAMILSELVI, J.

CRL.O.P.No.22078 of 2022 smn on 28.10.2022. However the parties have not appeared before the Mediation centre on 28.10.2022 and there is no representation for the petitioner on 12.10.2022 and 20.10.2022. Even today when the matter is taken up for hearing there is no representation for the petitioner.
