ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by V.BHARATHIDASAN, J.) The petitioner is the husband of one P.Prema, aged about 20 years. The petitioner married the detenue on 07.09.2015 at Shri Dharma Vinayagar Thirukoil, Lingi Street, Chennai. Alleging that on 20.02.2016, the father of the detenue has forcibly taken the detenue with him, he made a complaint before the first respondent. Since no action has been taken to rescue the detenue, the petitioner has come up with this Habeas Corpus Petition.

2. Today, when the matter came up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the detenue girl appeared before the second respondent police on 16.02.2016, and stated that she is willing to go only with the third respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. In the above circumstances, the relief as sought for in this petition cannot be granted as there is no illegal detention by the third respondent.

4. Hence, the Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed. The petitioner is at liberty to work out his remedy before the competent civil court.
