PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to transfer the High Density Electricity Transformer line at the entrance of the petitioner's land and premises comprised in Survey No.108/69 measuring to an extent of 18 Kuli situated at on the Pattukottai Road, Muthupettai, Thiruthuraipoondi Taluk, Thiruvarur District to some other place upon considering the representation of the petitioner dated 03.01.2022 by this Court. This Writ Petition has been filed to transfer the high density electricity transformer line installed at the entrance of the petitioner's land in Survey No.108/69 measuring to an extent of 18 Kuli situated at Pattukottai Road, Muthupettai, Thiruthuraipoondi Taluk, Thiruvarur District to some other place based on the representation of the petitioner dated 03.01.2022.
2. The case of the petitioners is that the petitioner is the owner of the property in Survey No.108/69 situated at Pattukottai Road, Muthupettai, Thiruthuraipoondi Taluk, Thiruvarur District and the respondents have installed high density electricity transformer line at the entrance of the petitioner's land which is passing through the petitioner's land and for removal of the same, the petitioner has made a representation on 03.01.2022. However, the same has not been considered. Therefore, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition with the aforesaid prayer.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if the respondents are directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 03.01.2022, on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period.
4. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents has no serious objection for such an order being passed by this Court.
5. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 03.01.2022 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
