Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent herein to dispose of petitioners representation dated 23.07.2016 within a stipulated time frame.

2.The petitioner would state that she is a resident of Old Door No.20/2, New No.43, Hamilton Bridge, 2nd Lane, Triplicane, Chennai - 600 005 and she has been issued with free rice distribution card bearing serial no.178514 with account no.36047 under the widow/ destitute scheme and she has also been issued https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

with all essential provisions and all of a sudden, it has been stopped and the petitioner in this regard, has submitted a representation dated 23.07.2016, to the respondent and since no response is forthcoming, came forward to file this writ petition. 3.Heard the submissions of Mr.K.Balasubramaniam, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4.This Court taking into consideration, the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the fourth respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 23.07.2016, in accordance with law and pass orders, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner. 5.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
