O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents not to harass the petitioner in the name of enquiry in the matter of civil nature in connection with land and building in R.S.No.2, Melpatrapakkam, Nellikuppam Taluk, Cuddalore District.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that in the guise of the enquiry on the complaint of one Jayachandran, the petitioner was constantly harassed by the respondent police.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner is the building owner, who let out the same for rent to one Jayachandran for running a fertilizer shop. The said Jayachandran was a tenant for more than 10 years. Thereafter, he vacated during the month of March 2021. The petitioner had to pay back the entire advance amount. Instead, he held back Rs.75,000/-, for which, the said Jayachandran had lodged a complaint on 27.07.2021. On the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

said complaint, CSR No.777 of 2021 has been assigned. Both the petitioner and the said Jayachandran appeared on 27.08.2021, where the petitioner agreed to pay back Rs.75,000/- on 17.09.2021. Thereafter, on 02.08.2021, CSR was closed. Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
